Summer Gardens
A summer garden is what you might already associate with a traditional growing season. In the Pacific Northwest the summer growing season starts after the last frost of winter. This typically happens in late April to early May, when the ground is thawed and warm enough for summer crops to be sown or transferred from inside. Vegetables that grow best during the summer gardening season are; Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Peppers, Squash, Beans and many other warm season vegetable varieties.
Something you might not be aware of is that you can grow many types of vegetables during the winter growing season too.
