Tomato: Stupice (Early Ripening)

$4.95

This Czech variety is an early and highly productive choice favored by gardeners in the Pacific Northwest. Developed in the mid-1950s at an agricultural station in Stupice, near Prague, it was brought to the U.S. by the Abundant Life Seed Foundation in 1977. The tomatoes are 2-3 inches in size, featuring a pleasing balance of sweetness and acidity. Stupice, pronounced "stu-peach," has become a dependable favorite, consistently producing some of the first red tomatoes each season. The compact 4-foot indeterminate vines have potato leaf foliage, and we have always appreciated their rich flavor and reliable yield.

1 plant comes in a 3” plastic container.
